Climax Air Conditioning was awarded the mechanical services for the Girraween Public School upgrade, a major redevelopment designed to support enrolment growth and provide modern, permanent learning facilities for the local community. Delivered as part of the NSW Government’s investment in rebuilding public education across Western Sydney, the project replaces temporary demountable classrooms with contemporary purpose-built teaching spaces.

  • Major School Redevelopment: Replacing demountable classrooms with modern permanent learning facilities
  • Large New Learning Hub: HVAC systems installed for a new three-storey building with 38 classrooms and support spaces, plus upgrades across multiple existing buildings
  • Advanced Mechanical Systems: Installation of VRF heat recovery air conditioning, toilet and amenities exhaust, roof ventilation, communications room cooling and EFSG cooler school controls
  • Live Campus Delivery: Systems installed while the school remained operational, ensuring minimal disruption and delivering improved indoor air quality, thermal comfort and energy efficiency

Climax will deliver the full mechanical services scope in accordance with EFSG guidelines, including installation of reverse-cycle VRF heat recovery air conditioning systems serving the new learning spaces, administration and staff hub across Buildings O, L and K. The project also included ventilation systems, toilet and amenities exhaust, communications room air conditioning and specialised control systems to support efficient operation and indoor environmental quality.

Working within a live school environment, the mechanical systems were designed to provide reliable comfort, improved air quality and energy-efficient performance for modern education facilities.
