Austral and Leppington Public Schools, combined HVAC package

Climax Air Conditioning has been awarded the mechanical services package for the staged redevelopment of Austral Public School and Leppington Public School, projects delivered concurrently by ADCO Constructions as part of the NSW Government’s Schools Infrastructure NSW program. The redevelopment supports rapid population growth across south-west Sydney and provides modern, adaptable learning environments for growing communities.

Climax was responsible for the design and construction of the HVAC and ventilation systems across new teaching blocks and core school facilities including the library, administration spaces, canteen and a multi-purpose sports and performance hall.

The mechanical scope included VRF heat pump and heat recovery air conditioning systems, demand-controlled ventilation, bathroom and amenities exhaust, and precision air conditioning for communications and IT rooms. Delivered within live school environments using staged construction methods, the systems were designed to improve indoor air quality, thermal comfort, acoustic performance and long-term energy efficiency while minimising disruption to school operations.
