Electrical Package - Training Centre, South Coast Surf Lifesaving

Project Overview

Commercial Electrical Contract – South Nowra.

The greenfield project for South Coast Surf Lifesaving was built by Edwards Constructions and completed in early 2021.  The training hub is situated in South Nowra and joins several other regional emergency services in the complex.  The funding for the build came through Commonwealth Community Development Grant and the NSW Government Sport and Recreation Facility Grant.  The training centre will service the nine surf lifesaving clubs from Warilla to Mollymook. Consisting of  3600 members and 1200 Juniors.

The building features two large training rooms, office spaces and kitchen.  The hub will house the administrative staff required to support the local clubs and volunteers. As a local company Climax Electrical were delighted to be awarded the commercial electrical contract.   The training facility needed a new mains feed and submains.  As well as power, data (Cat 6a), lighting and controls for the Training rooms, offices and kitchen.  The Warehouse was fitted with highbay lights as well as Emergency lighting for the building.

The construction of the centre will allow for Surf Life Saving state based programs to be delivered locally and also provide office access for SLS NSW staff working and living in the Shoalhaven.  For more information on the South Coast Branch visit their site.
