Climax Air Conditioning is pleased to announce its success in acquiring the mechanical design and construct package for the complex project. The Arthur Boyd Gallery will be purpose build with critically controlled spaces to house the original Arthur Boyd artwork, which is currently kept in Sydney due to the strict temperature and humidity conditions required for storage.
The Riversdale Masterplan project is located on one of four sites on the 1100-hectare property gifted to the Australian people by the late artist Arthur Boyd. In April 2016, the Bundanon Trust announced plans for a $28.5 million expansion of its Riversdale property. Construction will see a new subterranean Arthur Boyd gallery, auditorium, restaurant, education spaces and accommodation bridge for 64 people. A footbridge will also be built to complement the existing Boyd Education Centre.
The Mechanical services design and construct package will include a bushfire resistant inground geothermal heat exchanger, two reverse cycle heat pump chillers and Air Handling plant complete with humidity control. To maintain the strict conditions required to best preserve the Arthur Boyd works kept in the gallery. The project also consists of DX Air Conditioning systems, Kitchen exhaust, a fully integrated BMCS system, and mechanical electrical works.
