Climax Air Conditioning utilises best practice project management systems to plan, implement, and measure projects being designed and constructed/fabricated by the company for all customers. The processes and tools that comprise Project Management System are defined in Climax’s Project Management Systems Description (PMSD).
For each new project, a specific Project Execution Plan (PEP) and this PMSD establishes the overall project management systems and approaches for that project. The PEP focuses on organizational structure and an overview of the engineering management and control systems to be used. Additionally, the Project Execution Plan include details covering the following:
• Project reporting,
• Records management & document control,
• Quality Assurance,
• Communication management plans.
Climax’s Project Management Systems is based on the PMI’s PMBoK Guide 5th Edition and incorporates the principles of Earned Value Performance Management as defined in Australian Standard AS4817:2006 “Project Performance Measurement using Earned Value (EVPM)”. The project management system is designed to ensure effective control of cost, schedule and scope in addition to best practice performance management and reporting.
The system ensures:
• All work defined within the scope for the project to effectively planned and controlled.
• Break down the project work scope into finite pieces that can be assigned to a responsible person or organization for control of the technical, schedule, and cost objectives.
• Integrate the project work scope, schedule, and cost objectives into a performance measurement baseline against which accomplishments may be measured. Control changes to the baseline.
• Use actual costs incurred and recorded to accomplish the work performed.
• Objectively assess accomplishments at the work performance level.
• Analyse significant variances from the plans, forecast impacts, and prepare an estimate at completion based on performance to date and work to be performed.
• Use EVPM information in management processes.
The tools and processes that comprise Climax’s project management system equip the project manager(s) with a comprehensive system to enable project performance to be monitored; track project cost, schedule, and scope; and allows for the generation of timely performance measurement data and reports. Performance measurement reports provide management with objective project information critical to monitoring progress, identifying significant issues, and implementing corrective actions as needed.
Projects require a progressive design approach due to their unique nature and tendency to evolve particularly during early stages of project lifecycle. Our dedicated engineering team works cohesively with the project management team throughout the project to ensure the quality of installation and functionality. On completion, communication with the commissioning team allows valuable system operational feedback to strengthen the foundations of our design processes and ensure accurate results.
Climax provides comprehensive installation service using a large team of in-house trades personnel. Our installation service covers refrigeration equipment, mechanical plumbing, sheet metal and mechanical electrical equipment. As our project teams are comprised primarily of in-house personnel, communication between the installation teams process is assured resulting in more coordinated and cohesive site works.
The commissioning of mechanical systems is crucial for a seamless handover to the client. Our commissioning technicians have experience working on a broad range of mechanical systems including; Chiller and boiler systems, large exhaust systems, multi-unit VRF and Heat pump systems. Developing a skill set to ensure all projects are delivered on time and fully operational.
Climax Air Conditioning ensures that the preventative maintenance program is delivered to a high standard, through our professional services and process. Asset audits, condition reports and budget planning can be provided to assist the client in managing all HVAC equipment and plantrooms to minimise the risk of unexpected breakdowns. In the occurrence of a breakdown however, we have a 24 hour, 7 days a week, on call maintenance team to minimise breakdown times.
